Glenwood Landing is a hamlet that overlaps into the town of North
Hempstead and Oyster Bay. Prior to being known as Glenwood Landing
the area was also known as Newark, Littleworth, and Glenwood. Even
though the post office was established in 1891, no mail has ever been
delivered. All residents must pick up their mail in mail boxes from the
train station post office. Glenwood Landing received its name from the
nautical term in which landing is the term used for wharf or group of

wide array of activities. The main attraction in Glenwood Landing is the Marina which has slips
